Indonesia is the world's fourth largest country by population behind China, India and the United States. It is an archipelago located northwest of Australia and consists of 17,000 islands, 6,000 of which are inhabited
Exports
Indonesia is an exporter of some of the world's finest coffees. The main Island of Java has become synonymous with coffee. Sumatra, Sulawesi, Bali, Sumbawa, Flores and Papua are also rich coffee producers. Indonesia is also the world's largest exporter of Palm Oil.
People
Indonesia has 779 unique people groups and over 700 languages. The main language of Indonesia is called Bahasa Indonesia, which means "the language of Indonesia"

The population of Indonesia is 254,075,000 people. The island of Java is the most populous island in the world. Java's population density would be the equivalent of taking every person in the Untied States west the Mississippi and putting them all in Eastern Washington.

Indonesia is home to many rare and exotic animals including the Orangutan, Sumatran Tiger and the Komodo Dragon.

Indonesia is home to many religions, but the major religion is Islam. Indonesia is the world's largest muslim country with 80% of it's population adhering to Islam. Indonesia is home to more muslims than Iraq, Iran and Egypt combined.
Geography
Indonesia sits on the Ring of Fire and is the most volcanically active country in the world, with over 140 volcanoes. Indonesia consists of high mountain regions, deep jungles and sandy beaches. On the equator, Indonesia is hot and humid year round.
Government
Indonesia is a Democratic Republic. After many years of Dutch colonization, Indonesia declared it's Independence following World War 2. It's Independence day is August 17, 1945.
